​Sugar Bliss began in October 2007 with catering and delivery, offering over 20 cupcake flavors. In January 2009, Sugar Bliss opened its first retail bakery in Downtown Chicago. Since then, the company has expanded its menu to include a wide range of baked goods, including cake pops, French macarons, cookies, brownies, morning pastries, as well as gluten-free and vegan options. In 2022, Sugar Bliss launched its line of retail packaged cookies, now available through major retailers and distributors such as Walgreens, Compass Group, KeHE, Macy’s, and more. The Sugar Bliss retail store is located at 122 S Wabash Avenue, Chicago, IL.

Teresa Ging
Teresa Ging is CEO & Founder of Sugar Bliss, a retail bakery and packaged baked goods company located in Downtown Chicago. She has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago in Economics and Statistics. Prior to founding Sugar Bliss, Teresa built a successful career in finance, working at several leading firms before deciding to pursue her passion for baking. After six years in the industry, she enrolled at Le Cordon Bleu Patisserie program in Paris.

Since launching Sugar Bliss, Teresa has been widely recognized for her entrepreneurial achievements. Here honors include the WBENC WBE Star Award (2025), NAWBO Corporate Women Achievement Award (2023), BMO Harris Celebrating Women Award (2023), Shirley Marx Pitch Award (2021), and Enterprising Women of the Year Award (2019). In 2009, she was invited by President Obama to attend the signing of the White House Council on Women & Girls.

Teresa actively contributes to the business community as a Board Member of Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Illinois and serves on the Advisory Board of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce (SBDC).
